- Pelleas doesn’t understand what’s happening at court. Irony – tells Etarre she’s as fair/pure as Guinever.

- Gawain promises to make Ettarre fall in love with hiiim. Sacks up with her for 3 days. Pelleas can’t kill them but leaves his sword across their throats.
- Etarre does fall in love with Gawain.
- Pelleas loses his name at end. Becomes anti-Arthur; has open sexual relationships which are illicit but does not hide them as Arthur’s court does.
- Arthur wants his sword thrown into the lake. It had been a tool used to maintain the kingdom. Since it wouldn’t be used, it would just be a relic – rusting unburnished.
- Pelleas has lost his sword; Ettarre is a "castrating female". She made him a fool.
