Draining
the Oil
-
Operating temperature should be reached
to suspend oil impurities.
-
Place the oil drain pan under and a
bit forward of the oil drain (1)
plug to compensate for the forward motion of the oil.
-
Remove the drain plug
(1) being
careful not to burn yourself with the oil.
-
After the oil flow has slowed to a
drip, it is time to remove the filter.
-
Use an oil filter wrench to loosen
the filter with one hand using the free hand to support the filter.(If
the filter is mounted upright there will be oil inside of it.)
-
Once removed this oil filter should
be placed in the drain pan.
