Doctoral Program in Marketing

The marketing doctoral program focuses on developing students to succeed in research, instruction, and service.  We accomplish this by integrating doctoral students with faculty from the beginning of their program and immersing them in the research process.  They then receive guidance concerning how to prepare for their first classroom experience and are supported throughout their teaching activities.  Our goal at the end of your program is that you will have well developed instructional capabilities and proven research capabilities, as illustrated by publications.

The College of Business is the home of the Academy of Marketing Science, which publishes the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS) and the AMS Review.   Select doctoral students have the opportunity to work with Dr. Babin administering the Academy of Marketing Science day to day operations.  In addition, doctoral students have the opportunity to attend conferences sponsored by the Academy of Marketing Science.  This provides our doctoral students with tremendous opportunities to meet scholars around the world and network, leading to greater exposure and involvement with the marketing academe.

Please browse our pages and if you have any questions, please contact the marketing doctoral coordinator, Dr. Bruce Alford.
