Printing

As you journey along our wonderful little web site (or any web site for that matter) you may find yourself wishing that you could take some of the information with you. Don't worry, you don't have to strain yourself and write it down. You can simply print it out, if the computer you are at is connected to a printer. Almost all of the computers at Tech have this option and are so hooked up.

If you are using either Netscape or Microsoft (you'll learn about these shortly) printing is a very simple process. All you have to do is press the "PRINT" icon at the top of your screen. Make sure you know what printer the document is getting sent to, so you can go pick it up when it is printed.

If you're using one of the "dumb" terminals (you'll learn about these shortly as well), the process is a little more complicated, but it is still not that hard. Just follow the instructions below.

When you find a file you want to print, type ALT-9 (for alternate keys)
Type ALT-11 (print)
When you finish your WWW session, type ALT-12 (quit)
Once back to the regular screen, type PUB ACC 215, and press ENTER
Type PUB ACC 216, and press ENTER
Type PRTP and press ENTER
You will be asked which files to print. Type A to print all the files you've selected
Select the student printer for your destination
Pick up your printout
