Chocolate Roman Road Dessert

This isn't a classic recipe, but it does illustrate the way roads were built.

Do you mean the chocolate Roman road?  If you study any resource about
how Roman roads were constructed, you will see a combination of layers
of sand, lime, various sizes of gravel and rubble and slab stones.
So...

  1. take a lasagna pan vel sim. and imagine that is the ditch you have excavated to begin your road.
  2. Duplicate the layers in your book with things like
    1. Quik powder for the lime,
    2. Ovaltine for sand,
    3. mini choc chips for gravel,
    4. broken kit kats for larger rubble,
    5. mini Snickers or 3 Musketeers for curb stones,
    6. flat chocolate bars for basalt slabs....
  3. Make sure you bring bowls, spoons and lots of milk.
