Stephen Payne and I are the editors of the Louisiana Anthology and the hosts of the Louisiana Anthology Podcast.

In addition to our desire to preserve Louisiana's literature from the past, we also want to help Louisiana's current writers and artists by showcasing their work.  To that end, I would like to form a partnership with you to help publicize your publications that are by Louisiana writers or are about Louisiana.

There are several ways that I believe we can work together:

  1. We are adding a "Louisiana in the media" segment to our weekly podcast.  It will include books, television, movies, readings, festivals, etc.  We plan to mention both new publications and older ones that apply to a specific theme (Battle of New Orleans, Mardi Gras, Huey Long, etc). We also plan to provide links in the show notes to where listeners can buy the books.
  2.  We can record a phone call with somebody from your company about the books.  We can make the call part of the segment on Louisiana in the media.  We could talk about several books in one call, then use that recording for several weeks.
  3. We really like to interview authors.  These can be brief if they wish, but normally we talk to  them for the whole show (our shows run 45-60 minutes).  If the interview runs long, we divide it into two parts and air it in successive weeks. So far, three of our interviews have actually taken up two shows.  We already have heard from some of our listeners who bought the book they heard us talking about.  We could use your help in finding out whose book is being published and helping us contact them.
  4.  We would also like to use our Anthology site itself to publicize your works.  We could post excerpts from with books (probably the same ones you post at places like Amazon) with links to where readers could buy the complete works.
  5. You may have some ideas we haven't thought of.  Please feel free to let us know what they are.

Please let me know what you think about collaborating with us.  I look forward to hearing back from you.
