Abstract: An AI computer architecture is proposed. The proposed AI computer supports software operations by using specialist processor and specially designed associative memory. This computer also exploits parallelism in AI processing by exploring parallel distributed processing at the multi-processing unit levels, the processing unit levels, and the memory levels. The design of GAM (General Associative Memory) is presented. GAM is one of the first designs to support multi-word string search and retrieval. This associative memory can also be used as a standard RAM for random read/write operations, and as a conventional associative memory for relational search and pattern matching.
