MEEN 488 - Spring 2003 | home
Course Objectives and Outcomes
Course Objective:
The objective of MEEN 488 is to develop in mechanical engineering students the knowledge and skills required to use modern engineering computer-aided design tools in a wide variety of mechanical solid modeling applications. (PEO1, PEO3, PEO5)
Course Outcomes:
Students will be able to produce accurate computer models of mechanical parts using both construction primitives and lofting techniques. (PO10)
Students will be able to assemble computer models of mechanical parts using alignment constraints and produce cutaway and exploded views of these assemblies. (PO10)
Students will be able to produce accurately dimensioned drawings of parts and assemblies. (PO06)
Students will be able to use specialized solid modeling tools to produce sheet metal parts and weldments. (PO10)
