Description:
Introduction to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), models, and control methods; state-space models, LQR controls, pole placement, and robust control; stability and control; data links; modern cooperative control and path planning for UAVs; practical implementation, design, and assembly of a quad/hexa-rotor type of UAVs; programming of flight controllers, testing, and flying UAVs; collaboration with Professional Aviation and Geographic Information Science (GIS) students, teamwork in small groups in the Drone Lab.
