2: June 14-20		1. Generate weekly plan of research. 2. Determine broader context of the project. 3. Determine mentor history and projects of other lab members and theses of previous lab members. 4. List 20 questions.
3: June 21-27		Locate a relevant review article on your topic. Write “background section” for final proposal.
4: June 28-July 4		Provide answers to 20 questions.
5: July 5-11		Generate a research question statement and evaluate it according to the criteria given.
6: Jul 12-18		Write up “Methods” section for final proposal.
7: Jul 19-25		PowerPoint presentation due, describing background & methods plus any results that may have already been obtained. Include ethical issues.
8: Jul 26-Aug 1		Generate plots of any preliminary data that have been collected.
9: Aug 2- 8		Identify a central hypothesis and statistical testing. Write “Preliminary Results” section for final proposal.
10: Aug 9-14		Adapt Preliminary Results section to a short paper. Prepare Powerpoint presentation for IfM Conference day, Aug 13.
