You
will need to print this message and keep it for ready reference before

Do not use a calculator on assigned problems from the book or on
homework unless
the textbook, MyMathLab, and Moodle indicate that you
are to use a calculator. When the exact answer is to be given, you cannot use the
calculator. If the problem doesn't specify that you are to use the calculator,
it is generally expected that you are not to use the calculator. If the answer
is to be given in decimal form, it is understood that the calculator is to be
used to obtain the decimal answer.
THE
HOMEWORK EXERCISES WILL BE CONSIDERED AS 30 POINTS OF YOUR OVERALL GRADE IN THE
COURSE. There
is no limit to how many times you will be allowed to attempt each homework
exercise. This will allow you to work the problems, review the explanation for
the problems you missed, and then attempt the homework again before the final
due date.
THE HOMEWORK EXERCISES
HOMEWORK IN MyMathLab:
(1) DO
NOT ACCESS ANY HOMEWORK EXERCISE UNTIL YOU
(2) Once you begin a homework exercise, you will need to continue to
work until you submit your answers for the homework assignment.
(3) If you must exit a homework exercise before
you submit your answers, your homework will be considered incomplete. All partial answers will
be saved and you will start where you left off when you login the next time.
(4) TO OPEN A
HOMEWORK EXERCISE IN MyMathLab, Click
the "Homework" tab.
(5) Copy or
print each problem.
(6) Work each
problem in an orderly manner and keep all work to
attach to the feedback from the homework so you will have it to
study in preparation for the exams.
(7) Submit
your homework assignment once you have completed it. Your
answers are now locked and cannot be changed.
NOTE: Some of the problems on the
homework exercises are multiple choice, but you should
not abuse this method of testing. BE
