October 2010, I was part of a group to secure a $20 million NSF-EPSCoR grant for the state of Louisiana over 5 years on computational materials. Louisiana Tech secured $3.6 million over that period.

Sept. 2010, Cover article for work on understanding how the presence of 1-octanol surfactants influences the interfacial free energy of solvation for polyaromatic hydrocarbons, which are suspected carcinogens. The work was in collaboration with researchers at LSU: Bin Chen and KT Valsaraj.

as my contribution was actually based off of work I didn't
publish in Macromolecules (in the center hexagon).

qualitatively similar at the air-water interface and in the

June 04, 2008. The two most recent cover articles were featured on the
Louisiana Tech website, and also was picked up by both the
Ruston Daily Leader, the Monroe NewsStar (click on my
terrible picture to link to the article), and on the local Fox and NBC television newscasts.

June 01, 2008. I started my under my first funding as a
faculty member from the Louisiana Board of Regents Research
Competitiveness Subprogram. The amount was $118,939 for
three years.
