Job description and duties

Scheduling shift production. Interfacing wih senior operator and operations manager to provide optimal user satisvaction. Processing administrative and academic job requests, payrolls, comptroller function, student records, etc. Printing and Distribution.
Identifying errors in production procedures and coordinating resolution with supporting programmers. Communicationg with systems personnel to maintain integrity of system using systems reference library and utilites. IPL system; use VM, VTAM, OS390, PCICS, with ES9000. Placing calls for service to contractors; maintain activity and service call logs. Routinely monitoring physical security.
Working with a senior operator in documentation, constructing and editing training material for a student operator. Aiding a senior operator in detailed analysis of production logistics for operations manager.
Performing preventive maintenance on hardware. Answering incoming calls and coordinating computing services for use community.
