Dr. Derosa received his PhD in physics in 1997 from the University of Córdoba,
Argentina in the area of Radiation physics.
Dr. Derosa has wide experience in computer simulation,
including the design and implementation of novel algorithms with practical applications.
In 1998, Dr. Derosa joined as a postdoctoral fellow the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of South Carolina
where he worked with different techniques of molecular simulations in the area of batteries and catalysis.
In 2000, Dr. Derosa was appointed as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of the University of South Carolina
(the research group Dr. Derosa joined was later moved to the Department of Electrical Engineering).
Dr. Derosa joined Louisiana Tech in 2003 as a Research Associate and finally become an Assistant professor in 2004.
Dr. Derosa has taught undergraduate courses for science and non-science majors,
he has also taught graduate courses for physicists and engineering.
Dr. Derosa is currently an Assistant Professor of Physics in a Joint position between
Louisiana Tech University
and Grambling State University, .
