Course Prerequisites: Math 100, or Math 101, or placement by exam, or Math ACT score is greater than or equal to 26, or Math SAT score is greater than or equal to 590.
Course Goals: To understand the concepts and be able to perform the calculations concerning trigonometric functions, solving right triangles and general triangles, trigonometric identities and equations, inverse trigonometric functions, and complex numbers.

Calculator: A scientific or graphing calculator is required for this course. If you will be taking calculus or statistics courses in the future, the TI-82 or equivalent is recommended. |

LOUISIANA TECH UNIVERSITY STUDENT COMPUTER LAB ACCESS AND USE
There are two computer labs open to students in Wyly Tower. Also, the computer lab in GTM 165 is open to all Tech students. There are many other computer labs used in the individual academic units of Louisiana Tech University.

Since there are no regular class meetings or lectures, it is necessary that each student complete the assignments and bring up any questions or problems by using the ALEKS message center, by personal visits, by telephone, or by email. |
Your textbook and the Internet materials are your major resources for this course. You should read them over, mark them up, and make notes about important points. You must become very familiar with all the material included about Math 112 on this Internet site . Grade Determination Procedure:
ALEKS Progress and Weekly Quizzes = 50 Midquarter Exam = 100 Final Exam = 100 Note: Problems assigned from the textbook must be completed before taking the Weekly Quizzes. These problems will not be turned in because they can be checked using the answers in the back of the textbook. Any questions about these problems can be answered by using the ALEKS Message Center, by faxing the work to me, by telephone, or by office visit.
