 Important information about taking Math 112 as an on-line course:

Math 112 over Internet has several benefits for the student:

• There are no on-campus attendance requirements beyond having to take the midquarter and final examinations on the Tech campus, Ruston, LA, or at another university with arrangements for secure exam monitoring made by Dr. Hanna; 
• All of the class material is available to you through the Web site;
• Communication between the teacher and student occurs by using the message center in ALEKS, by email, by telephone, by FAX, or by personal conferences or a combination of all of these methods.

But, this on-line course may present some difficulties for you, the student:

• You cannot be passive when taking this course; you must be actively involved in accessing the Web site, keeping up with the assignments given in the Weekly Syllabus, and you MUST make a point of asking questions using the message center in ALEKS or some other means. 
• It will take as much or more of your time to take this class, as opposed to a class that meets on the Tech campus.  YOU must decide on and set aside regular times you will dedicate to work on the course. You will be required to spend at least three hours per week working and making progress in ALEKS
