Welcome to the Home Page for Animal Physiology  (Biological Sciences 320).   This course, which  is offered each Fall and Spring Quarter through the School of Biological Sciences at Louisiana Tech University, is taught by Dr. John M. Wakeman.

Biological Sciences 320 is designed to provide a general and comparative approach to the principles and concepts of Animal Physiology.  The study of Physiology has many interdisciplinary aspects in that it integrates Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.  Thus this is a subject that, at the introductory level,  can present many challenges both to the teacher and to the student.

The course is organized into four parts....

Part I is concerned with the central principles of Physiology
Part II deals with nervous systems and muscular systems
Part III deals with endocrine systems and osmoregulation
Part IV with circulation systems and gas exchange systems

The course textbook is Animal Physiology by Randall et al, fourth edition
