Collin D. Wick

Since September 2007, I have been a part of the Chemistry Program at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. In September 2013, I was promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure, given an endowed Chair from Century Link Telecom (which is headquartered in Monroe, LA), and am also the Program Chair of Chemistry. Obviously, that means if you have any inquiries about the Chemistry Program at LA Tech, I would be happy to answer them. My office is located in Carson-Taylor Hall room 233. My research efforts are to use molecular simulation to understand aqueous interfacial properties, phase equilibria, and polymeric structures and properties. I also am using plane wave electronic structure codes to investigate solids, their interfaces, and potential anode materials. Please click on one of the pictures to the left to get more information on the specific research areas. Some of them need some major updating, but my publication list and CV should be reasonably updated. I teach or have taught physical chemistry lectures and laboratories, statistical mechanics, environmental chemistry, polymer chemistry, advanced quantum mechanics, and general chemistry courses depending on the quarter. If you are more interested in me, personal and professional info are provided below.
