Two PhD positions are open at Louisiana Tech University in the fields of information theory and communication theory, as well as their applications in wireless networks, physical layer security, distributed storage, distributed computing, big data and bioinformatics. The PhD positions are funded, starting fall 2017.

Louisiana Tech University is a public research university in Ruston, Louisiana, United States. In September 2016, for the sixth consecutive year, Louisiana Tech earned Tier One ranking among National Universities in US News & World Report’s 2017 Best Colleges list, once again making it one of only three institutions in Louisiana be ranked in the top tier. Louisiana Tech is ranked #1 in Louisiana and #11 in the nation in a list of the "25 Most Underrated Colleges In America" from Business Insider.
